Wood Carvings and Photography

Jacinta Shailer is by birth a Queenslander, by choice a Sister of the Good Samaritan, by profession a teacher, by wonderful chance a wood carver and photographer, and by passionate interest a lover of Australian wildflowers and outback landscapes.

Jacinta loves the world of nature, and her journeys provide her with opportunities to use her gift for photography which was fostered during a twenty year stay in Japan. Her current fascination is with the beauty of wildflowers and landscapes. Jacinta's books - Mountains, Mists and Mystery (1995), Symphony of the Seasons (2001), and now Wildflower Journey Prayers, reveal the wonder of God's creation in all its splendour.
